At Pendleton First, we want every child to know they have a place where they belong—a place where they are loved, valued, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with God. Just like adults, we believe children need a space of their own where they can build friendships, ask questions, have fun, and learn about Jesus in ways they can understand.
Our purpose in Children’s Ministry is to guide children as they grow in their own personal faith in Jesus Christ. Through Bible lessons, worship, activities, and caring relationships, we strive to create an environment where kids feel safe, excited to learn, and eager to come back each week.
Our goal is for every child to know the love of God, share that love with others, and live it out every day of their lives. We want our children to not only know about God, but to truly know who He is on a personal level—to understand His love, hear His voice, trust His promises, and build a faith that will stay with them for a lifetime.
We are passionate about partnering with families to help raise a generation of children
who love God, love people, and confidently live out their faith wherever they go.

Infant to 5th Grade

Life Hour | Kids Place
Kindergarten–5th Grade
If your child wants to dive deeper into God’s Word and the stories they hear during Kids Place, they’re invited to join Kids Place Life Hour on Sundays at 9:00 AM. This is a great time for discipleship, discussion, building friendships, and growing in faith through
engaging Bible teaching and interactive learning.

Sunday Morning | Kids Church
3 Years–5th Grade
Kids begin service by joining the adults in the Sanctuary for worship. After worship, they are released to head downstairs for Kids Church, where they’ll experience engaging Bible lessons, fun activities, worship, and meaningful time with friends.
We also offer a special Early Learning class for children ages 3 years through Kindergarten, designed specifically for their age group to learn about God in a fun, interactive environment.
Children in 1st–5th grade gather in the main kids area for Bible lessons, activities, and small group connection.
Check-in is located in the upstairs foyer.

Sunday Evening | Celebration Place
Potty Trained Ages 3 Years–5th Grade
Sundays at 6:00 PM
Has your child been dealing with hurts, habits, or hang-ups? Celebration Place is designed to help kids work through real-life challenges in a safe, encouraging environment while learning biblical principles that bring healing and hope.
Children learn how to handle emotions like anger, overcome denial, practice honesty, admit wrongs, build healthy friendships, and grow spiritually through age-appropriate lessons, worship, games, and activities.
Kids join Celebration Place following worship during the evening service.

Wednesday Nights | Kids Ministry
Potty Trained Ages 3 Years–5th Grade
Wednesdays at 6:00 PM
(During the School Year — Breaks for Summer)
Join us every Wednesday evening for Kids Ministry! The first two weeks of each month feature Kids Clubs with hands-on activities and focused learning, while the remaining weeks include full group services together.
Throughout the year, we also host fun nights, themed events, and special activities designed to help kids connect, grow, and enjoy church together.
Check-in is located in the upstairs foyer.

Nursery | Sundays & Wednesdays
Infants–3 Years Old
Infants from birth through age 3 are lovingly cared for in Baby’s Place, where they receive personal attention from our nursery team in a safe, nurturing environment. Baby’s Place is fully equipped with swings, bouncers, toys, activity mats, and cribs to help your
little one feel comfortable and cared for during service.
A private nursing room with a live stream of the service is available to make service time easier and more comfortable for both you and your baby.
Feedings are provided according to parent or guardian instructions. Diapering is not provided, but parents will be contacted if needed.
The nursery is conveniently located on the main floor.

Kids Convention: Each November we take our upper elementary kids on a Road Trip to the west side of the state. We have a Friday adventure in the Portland area followed by Kids Convention. Kids get to hear from awesome speakers and have tons of fun with late night
activities and crazy games!
Kids Camp: Each Summer we take our upper elementary kids for a week at Summer Camp! Kids get to have fun in multiple day activities like swimming, water games, crafts and more! Each morning and night we have Chapel where we hear from an impactful speaker,
have fun worship, and time with God!

For added confidence in your child’s safety, Kids Place uses Planning Center’s secure check-in system.
Check-in locations: Foyer & Fellowship Hall
• Wednesday nights: Check in, then bring your child to the Kids Area
• Sunday AM: Kids start upstairs for worship, then head down
• Sunday PM: Kids go upstairs after worship.

All Kids Place volunteers are background-checked and approved by the Pastor.

We need people on Sunday mornings and evenings to teach, play games and build friendships. Wednesday nights we need people to teach and help in our different classes.
